Welcome to the website of the Air Force Junior Reserves’ Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) unit at Georgia (GA-052).

On behalf of the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, Colonel Tom Butler, and the Aerospace Science Instructor, Master Sergeant Tresharn Daniels, I am excited you are here.

Our site is designed to assist cadets, their parents, our school and friends in the community to quickly navigate to possible areas of interest and information.

GA-052 was established at Wheeler High School on September 1st, 1970.  AFJROTC began with 20 units in 1966. The “05” means the 5th year of AFJROTC in existence (1970) and the 2 means it was 2nd unit within the state of Georgia established for that year.

We have a rich and full history of accomplishment.  That heritage now falls on the current cadets of the corps, and each and every day we strive to make ourselves better and our parents, school, and community proud.  The cadets of this character development program learn teamwork, leadership, responsibility, discipline, honor, and pride.

We recognize that AFJROTC is not a military recruiting platform, and we do not have to serve any time in military service unless we choose to do so upon completion of high school.

Our corps is led and managed by cadet officers.  These leadership opportunities are competitive and rewarding.  They are designed to help cadets develop leadership and management skills that will be vital in whatever career or education path our cadets choose to pursue upon graduation.

Thank you again for visiting our site, and please consider dropping us a note if we can improve this site in any way.

Sincerely,
Declan Hale, Cadet Colonel and Corps Group Commander
